Welcome to the The Back Nine Project
Hi, I’m Shaun, and welcome.
I’ve been a practicing physical therapist for the past 15 years, and throughout my career, one of the things that has mattered most to me is helping people stay involved in the activities they enjoy.
For me, that activity is golf.
I’m an avid golfer myself, and I understand how frustrating it can be when your body starts to limit your ability to play the game you love. As we get older, it can become harder to maintain the swing ability, strength, mobility, and endurance we once had. Maybe you don’t hit the ball quite as far. Maybe 18 holes leaves you more tired than it used to. Or maybe your body just doesn’t recover the way it once did.
But getting older doesn’t mean you have to stop playing.
That’s the reason I created this program.
The goal of The Back Nine Project is simple: to help you stay on the course longer.
Not just so you can play more golf, but so you can continue to enjoy the things that come with it—the competition, the fitness, the time outdoors, and especially the friendships and social connections that make golf such a great game.
This program is designed to give you practical tools that you can actually incorporate into your life.
As members, you’ll receive access to Region Focus Exercises specifically designed with the aging golfer in mind, along with warm-up routines to prepare your body for the course and recovery routines to help you feel better after you play.
You’ll also have access to videos demonstrating the exercises, Q&A opportunities where you can ask questions and learn more, and social media platforms where we can connect, share experiences, and keep each other motivated.
And importantly, this program is not medical care or physical therapy. It’s an educational fitness and longevity program designed to help you maintain the physical qualities that support your golf game. If you have a medical condition or an injury, you should seek appropriate care from your healthcare professional.
My hope is that this program gives you the tools, knowledge, and motivation to take better care of your body so you can keep doing what you love.
So, if you’re ready to move better, stay stronger, recover better, and keep playing golf for years to come, you’re in the right place.
Welcome to The Back Nine Project.
Let’s get started—and let’s keep you on the course.
